It started at a brand new (little) radio station in Knob Noster, Missouri. That’s where my radio career started. Lori and I got married on May 28th and a couple short weeks later we loaded a u-haul truck and left St Paul Minnesota for my new career. So, where is Knob Noster? It’s about an hour east of Kansas City Missouri. It’s home to Whiteman Air Force base. The radio station itself was brand new, as a matter of fact it wasn’t even on the air when we got there. So we had the chance to see a radio station being built from the ground up. The station was KLUK-FM (yep, KLUK) and we played classic country music. However, at night, which was my shift 7pm to midnight, I got to play “newer” country. Alabama, Hank Jr, you know the “rowdy stuff” as the station manager called it. I didn’t care what the music was all I knew was that I was on the radio and I loved it! I wanted to be a dj from the time I was in grade school. It’s been an amazing career and it’s thanks to each and everyone of you and everyone that has allowed me into their lives for all these years. Thanks for making my dreams come true!
