If you’d like to spice up the party with some Buffalo Chex Mix, no need to use any recipe but this one. It’s soooooooooo good!
When I was home in Ohio for the holidays, my aunt made some for my Dad and I. We DEVOURED it! I had to have the recipe.
She shared the recipe she found on Pinterest and I came back to Wisconsin and made it for my husband and neighbors and they loved it, too!
Here’s the link to the original recipe: Tangy Buffalo Chex Mix – Your Cup of Cake
But here’s the little tweaks I made:
WHAT I USED FOR THE SAUCE:
-1/2 cup Aldi Berman’s brand Hot Sauce (but you can use Frank’s Red Hot original sauce)
-1/2 cup margarine, melted (use butter if you like)
-3 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
-2 1/2 tsp. onion powder
-2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
-1/2 tsp. paprika
-2 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
WHAT I USED FOR THE MIX:
-6 cups Chex (I used 2 cups each of Rice, Wheat, and Corn)
-1 cup almonds
-1 cup original Cheez-Its
-1 1/2 cups Aldi version of White Cheddar Cheez-Its (Savoritz Baked White Cheddar Crackers)
-2 cups pretzels
(Use that exact ingredient list for the mix -OR- mix and match your favorite combo. As long as you use 11 1/2 cups of your favorite things to coat- it’ll be delicious.)
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
2. Stir all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl until combined.
3. Gently measure all your “mix” ingredients into a separate large bowl.
4. Pour some sauce over the mix and gently stir. Repeat until all the sauce has evenly coated the mix.
5. Spread out the mix onto baking sheets and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes- taking the trays out of the oven and giving each a gentle stir for even roasting and to prevent burning.
(Everything will seems soggy at the beginning of the baking process but then will crisp up. If it needs an extra 10 minutes to crunch up, roast just a little longer until everything has crisped back up.)
6. Let cool and then devour!
This would make a great addition to your snack table for the next big game!

Movie Review: Roofman
I’m going to start out by saying that I love Channing Tatum, so I’m completely biased. COMPLETELY. That being said, aside from my admiration, he is a really good actor. And don’t scoff at that…. he is! He has range. He can ham it up in slapstick comedy movies like 21 Jump Street (2012), dance […]
