Did you ever watch one of the million documentaries about Fyre Fest?
If you haven’t, brace yourself. And pick any one of them… they’re everywhere: Hulu, Netflix, etc.
Even after the creator of Fyre Fest spent time in jail for fraud, they tried to have another Fyre Fest. It got postponed indefinitely.
Then they listed “Fyre Fest” for sale on Ebay and I thought, surely no one would want to be associated with this debacle, even if it was free.
The auction included the rights to the Fyre Festival brand, including its IP, brand trademarks and social media assets.
But just when you think there might be a glimmer of hope for sanity in the world… Fyre Fest actually had bidders. And then it sold.
FOR $245,000! What?!?! And more importantly, WHY?!?!
Because people will literally buy anything. Anything!
