Anyone that knows me well, knows that I am an absolute germophobe! I didnāt always used to be that way. When I was a kid, I always touched everything in sight and had dirty hands pretty much constantly. I would only wash my hands before eating because my mom told me to. But as I got older, and started to realize that germs are the cause of illnesses, combined with the fact that I am the biggest wuss when it comes to getting sick, made me change my ways. (I really am such a crybaby when it comes to being sick. Even a cold will make me panic, lol)
These days, I am much more vigilant about keeping my hands clean and avoiding germs. I donāt touch door handles without using my shirt. Iām also the guy that doesnāt āsit downā in a public restroom. In fact, I only flush toilets with my foot. No way my hand is touching that nasty toilet handle! When we go to a buffet restaurant, that presents a challenge to people like me. The solution? Serve with the right hand, eat with the left hand! Especially when itās finger foods. Keep that left hand away from the buffet, use your right hand for any serving, scooping, or utensiling and youāll be good to go. Or āIā will be good to go. Until someone walks by me and sneezes, or I chew my fingernails again. Thatās an entirely different blog topic, Iāll save that one for later.

For most of us, the two weeks of the games are like a vacation. A break from the same-old routine, a break from our typical television viewing habits, and most […]
